I'd like to zoom in on footage using keyframes, and then have the camera track someone's face and move accordingly.
I know that with recent updates, motion tracking is now available for titles in FCPX. However, what if I don't want a title to track the face, but the camera itself as explained above?
Is there any way I can make this happen?

There have been discussions about locked-on face tracking in the past month or so here. The search functionality here has not been great but it looks like there's a new look to the discussion forums so maybe search has been improved too.

You know how you can use the transform tool to zoom in, rotate, and move X and Y position?
I'd like to do that but with a tracker on a face so that you don't manually have to keyframe.
So that , when someone's head turns, the whole frame turns in that direction too.
I don't understand what exactly you mean by have the camera track the face. Do you have 4K or other UHD media on an HD or smaller project? Could you post some screenshots perhaps?
