AirPlay Across Subnets

I under stand that AirPlay does not natively jump subnets, even if the firewall is open to allow it. However, I need a work around on this. The scenario below is as it currently stands, but I plan on adding complexities with guest networks.

My wireless network is on one subnet (let's say 10.20.30.xx), and my wired network is on another subnet (let's say 10.20.10.xx). My Apple TV is wired and has an IP Address of let's say 10.20.10.40. I have set up a NAT Rule on my firewall to forward IP Address 10.20.30.40 from the wireless subnet to 10.20.10.40 on the wired subnet. I can successfully ping 10.20.30.40 from my MacBook, but I cannot find the Apple TV to AirPlay (I can find a different wireless Apple TV). How can I allow devices to find find AirPlay destinations across subnets?

Correct. Other subnets than its own are unreachable. That is networking, and unrelated to AirPlay or Apple TV.

Why? There is no reason to separate that, that I can think of — except to purposefully make one unreachable to the other. Just let one router do DHCP for both the wired and the wireless. Set the other router to bridging/extending.
