Apps on icloud dont sync on new device

Our company iphones are under DEP and assinged with Intune.

Previoulsy, users iphone are broken and needed to be replaced with a new one.

Broken phone's data including apps are confirmed to be backed up in icloud.

Upon transferring data from broken phone to the new phone (thru icloud backup), noticed that data like photos, phonebook were all synced to the new phone but applications were not synced. Could you please let me know if this has something to do with the phone being in DEP with Intuned assign to it?

Hello marasigan146,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you. This would be hard to confirm as we don't know the restrictions installed by the administrator. However, it's possible there is something in the set up that could prevent the apps from automatically downloading to the new device. Since apps aren't synced through backup, it's just the app data that is synced you can simply visit the App Store, tap on Account, and then go to Purchased and download the apps you want on the new device.
