Siri can’t search the internet

So I just switched to iPhone, and there are some quirks along the way. I asked Siri “what’s playing at the Regal cinema in (location)”. Siri then responded “I’m sorry but Siri cannot search the internet on iPhone.” I’m on the most recent iOS on the 14 pro max. Is Siri crippled on the latest iOS, because on android such a search was something I took for granted, if the query or command didn’t pull up a certain feature, it would search Google. Please tell me I didn’t make a mistake in going Apple

Did some searching and finally found something that enabled what I was looking for: https://www.indabaa.com/allow-siri-to-search-web-content-on-iphone-and-ipad/

basically you go into the content restrictions and make sure web content is enabled under the Siri heading. You have to enable the restrictions feature to do this.

It would be better if you can please re-post with a screenshot, in order to understand the phenomenon better. Images/pictures speak louder than words.

With the limited information that you have provided, It is hard to even guess the problems faced by you.

Mobile brand/model selection is an individual choice based on many parameters. Such as Money, Feature, Status, Aesthetic, Utility, User-Friendliness, Availability, Warranty Coverage, Service Support, Resale value, Technology and many other factors. Choose yours judiciously!

"please repost with a screenshot"

For an auditory response, it is kind of hard to do a screenshot (unless that is just a general thing you always put on every reply regardless of relevance). I phrased the command exactly like you did, was specific, and siri responded that she cannot search the internet. I did a search about this weird reply, and the pages came back with older Iphones with Siri requesting settings be changed instead of flat out saying siri cannot search the internet on Iphone

Siri can’t search the internet
