By default when I paste a URL into an email it uses the 'preview' style link which contains the open graph info. I just want plain links by default, but can't see where to set that behavior and don't see any reference to this issue online?

In Sonoma there's a setting for this, which I turned off as soon as I saw it.
I understand the thought behind this behavior, but nevertheless I don't like it. Maybe I'm old, but it's extremely disturbing to not just see the url, and I guess that all of us in this thread feel the same way.
Does Apple care about people's voices? So many people asked for it and they still dont't give a **** about it!
For Ventura, after it turns to preview mode, there's a little drop arrow next to it on the top right corner. Click it and select "convert to open link".
Not a good solution. Like swatting a fly from your arm with a handgun.
Is that a rhetorical question? Because it is obvious that Apple doesn't care. They only want users whose only food source is the Kool-aid.
Yes, half the recipients will think it's just an image at the bottom of the body text.
Actually they do read this because I posted a comment they didn't like and they removed and sent me an email telling me they removed it.
