Turn off alias folder grouping

I have a couple of aliases on my desktop that I regularly use.

Macos keeps grouping them into folders such as 'previous 30 days'. Any new items go under 'today'

I'd like to be able to turn this feature off and just have the aliases uncategorised.

Hi SteveSOE,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.

We're happy to provide some assistance.

From what you're describing, it looks like you're using desktop stacks. This option allows files to be organized in a stack to keep your desktop tidy. While the desktop is active, you can click View and adjust the way stacks are used.

If you're still having the same problem after reviewing what we provided, do not hesitate to reach back out to the community with some specifics on what you see for more help.

Cheers!
