Removing attachments from emails
I have emails with attachments. I would like to keep the body of the emails but delete the attachments. I cannot find any way to do this, other than deleting the whole email. Can anybody help?
iPad, iOS 9

The native Mail App doesn’t support deletion of attachments while preserving the body text. Attachments can be saved, but not deleted from received mail messages.
Deletion requires deletion of the email to which the attachment(s) relate.
Lotus Pilot, are you saying that Message>Remove Attachments is no longer supported? (Monterey12.6.1 Mail 16.0)
When I tried this both the attachment and message were gone - *gone* - not even in Trash or could Undo.
Any way around this? Or if this is by design, would be nice to update Help! Sigh....
In posting here, your question was presumed to relate to tools and capabilities of iPadOS - not macOS. If you have access to a Mac computer, you will have considerably more flexibility in managing email and associated attachments than is available to the native iOS/iPadOS Mail App.
