Viewing Icloud (handwritten) Notes on PC

iPad Mini 5th Generation

iPadOS Version 16.1.1 (20B101)

Standard iOS notes application (latest version)

Sytlus pen (non Apple)

Window 11 PC 64Bit

Google Chrome browser Version 107.0.5304.107 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I have been using the notes app for some time now and it works great for handwritten notes, sketches etc. It suits my needs

I also can view the notes via logging into iCloud on my Windows PC- which was also great.

Lately though something has changed and when I view my notes (drawings and/or text) on my PC I only get a grey solid rectangle with a symbol for paper. There are one or two letters or maybe a word and that's it. Clicking on the symbol does nothing.

See attached screengrabs- the fist two show the note on my iPAD with some artwork and the last one is how the exact same note shows on my PC.

I usually use Chrome but I have also tested on Edge IE (both latest versions) and and it is the same.

I thought maybe it is taking some time to sync but no the same result days later.

I upgraded to the latest iPAD OS lately - maybe that has something to do with it ?

Is anyone else experiencing this same issue- your support would be appreciated.

To help us get a better understanding of the issue, we’d like to ask a few questions.

Do you ever receive an error when trying to access notes on the iCloud website? If so, what does the error say?
Are you able to access and view notes on the iCloud website on other devices without an issue?
Does the issue only happen with handwritten notes?

When you set up Notes with iCloud, your notes stay up to date on iCloud.com and every device with Notes turned on in iCloud settings.

The notes list contains the notes in the currently selected folder. Notes are listed by last-modified date, with the most recent note at the top of the notes list. The list shows the first few words of each note.

View a note

• In Notes on iCloud.com, select a note in the list.

You may need to select a different folder to see the note you’re looking for.
