will i lose all my data?

I have an iphone xs, my screen randomly stopped working. My lockscreen is still the same, i am assuming all my data is still intact only my screen is not responding to touch. I have restarted my phone multiple times and still it is not responding. earlier it disabled my face id so i can no longer open my phone without inserting my passcode (which i cannot). I have plugged my phone to my macbook to back it up and it gave me two options; to either update or restore (to factory settings and lose my data) in which i clicked update but then my phone said support.apple.con/iphone/restore. I stopped it because i thought it might reset it to factory settings. which brings me back to my question, what does support.apple.con/iphone/restore mean?
