how to unlock and delete protected files after ventura update

So I want to unlock the protected files on my sdhc card that is used on my dashcam. Before the Ventura update I had no problem unlocking and deleting the protected files. However, after updating, my MacBook Air isn't allowing me to unlock and delete the protected files. Does anyone know how to unlock and delete protected files?

Maybe this helps: I could not delete a bunch of files via the trashbin. I received a message on the screen that the files were in use...

There was n't any application active. So this was a strange errormessage.

I found a solution and that was via the commandline with the Terminal application

Open a Terminal window by clicking on the Terminal.app in the Utilities folder.

You will now nee a blank screen with some (2) lines appearing on the screen

The Lower line is a prompt formed by

youraccountname@nameofyourmacbook ~ %

Type after this prompt

rm -R

With a space after the R!

Then select in the Finder the files you want to delete.

And drag them to the Terminal window and drop them after the Command "rm -R " you typed there.

The Terminal app does automatically fills in the proper names and paths of the files.

After that you to place the cursor on the end of the line. Can be very long!

Just press the 'cursor to the right' button (looks like >) and then hit the return button.

MacOS will delete all the files you have selected.

It is not crazy to tell you: "Be carefull" with this.

That usually means some app is active. There are ways to look for active app(s). (The command-like laof tool is one.) Or boot the Mac into Safe Mode, and try deleting again there.

rm -R is… can be… hazardous. I’d suggest issuing an ls -R {files} first to list out the files to be targeted; to view and confirm all of what you’re going to delete what you think you’re going to delete.
