"Passcode not set" when trying to update to Ventura 13.1

I have a MacBook Pro 13" M1 2020. I've been advised that I have an upgrade to 13.1. I clicked on the upgrade but was told that the Passcode is not set.

This is the first time that I have come across this issue as all previous upgrades were performed without any problem. I am not the most computer savvy individual, so please can someone advise me what to do.

Many thanks in advance.

I would see what Apple has to say about this...
