Connected NAS DRIVE issue after updating

Not sure if this is a NAS community question, Luminar Ai question (graphics program) or Apple question, but it all started with updating to Ventura 13.0.1.

I have a Thunderbolt connected (only) NAS drive. It would show up in Finder under locations as NAS6ADFCE (Thunderbolt). This disappeared after updating. I was still able to sign into the NAS, so no issues there, but any programs referencing images/etc would indicated missing media. I went into setting in Finder sidebar and noticed hard disks, external disks unchecked. So I checked it and now it shows up as a shared drive. So far this has allowed my other programs to continue to work with the NAS (Capture One, Davinci Resolve, etc). BUT, one graphics program called Luminar Ai, will not open. I get "There was a problem connecting to the server "NAS6ADFCE (Thunderbolt)". Then underneath saying the server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check you connection and then try again".

Any ideas? Again, this happened with Ventura update. I didn't have any issues doing updates in the past.

It seems a bit obscure to have Network Attached Storage, but not connected using a network protocol. (the default Thunderbolt connection is a local peripheral connection). Maybe its just the picture-straightener in me.

if nothing else seems to fix it, you may wish to explore adding a ThunderBolt Bridge connection to your

system preferences > Network

Okay, thanks for the explanation. It does work in every way possible including an "out and back" with all my other graphics programs. For some reason just Luminar and I can't even open the program to see if it's a setting I can change within the program. Even after deleting and reinstalling.

Regardless, I'm still curious as to what happened and why with this update, given at least two previous updates did not change this causing issues
