Safari Hacked?

When I try to open Apple/communities in Safari I get a blank page saying...

"for fun by tojen" on a blank page.

Very strange.
I did a print screen if anyone want to see.

here too - http://twitter.com/melodosgr

If someone did alter apple's site, or cause a redirect to a page with that text - it's not the same thing at all as them having free access to any/all of your data kept by apple.

Not knowing exactly what's happened, anything else would be more speculation on my part... but although anything's possible, I'd be surprised if you need worry about your details.

Carolyn
I was getting the blank page "for fun, by tojen" message when trying to access the discussions web page also. So I followed your instructions about trashing Cookies.plist and cache.db and this worked. I was able to get to Apple discussions before I trashed these 2 items by putting Apple discussions into Google search and clicking on one of the discussion search items.
Thanks for helping.

add me to the list of people experiencing this issue. I about flipped out when i saw that for the first time. It seems as though the website has been hacked or something.

But my first troubleshooting step was to create a new "test" user with administrator privileges and try to load it up in Safari. It worked fine on two different occasions there. With this, i came to the conclusion that i somehow actually got a virus on a Mac, which i have NEVER experienced. And i'm on 10.6.4.

Then i came back to my User account, and found a free anti-virus scan "iAntivirus", still waiting on it to get done.

In the meantime, i have also tried to load it on my iPhone - and it won't load there either!

Since i'm still waiting on this antivirus to get done, i am still trying to load this up in Safari. I have also found that i get that same message "for fun by tojen" on a blank white page in Firefox as well. What i have found is that if i get that blank white page, if you re-load the page, it actually loads up! At least for me anyways. But what is causing it to do this? Was the website hacked?

Should we notify Apple about this? Did anybody submit a bug report on this yet?

Add me to the list!

I logged on to Apple Discussion Forum today on my iPhone 3GS and was directed to a blank page displaying "for fun, by tojen".

There are other posts on this forum where people have experiences with their desktop/laptop safari.

But anyone had experiences with their iOS Safari?
(See http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=31642437&l=67acb5a724&id=1257161362)

Immediately I tried the same thing on my iPhone 4 and it was directed to the 'correct' page. Which got me worried. As I had just logged on using my apple ID and password, which contains all my CC details.

Right away I tried to change my iTunes account password and was told that "Your account was changed while you were editing your account information. We were unable to save the changes you made. Please try again later."

I dashed out to my MBP and tried to change my iTunes account password and again the same message was displayed.

Any advice please?

Is my iTunes account being compromised?

I sent them web feedback.

Here are my own experiences this morning.

Here are my results (X = see the abnormal screen; N = normal screen)

iMac:
Firefox - X
OmniWeb - N
Safari - N

Ubuntu:
Firefox - N

Droid Phone - N

iPad:
Safari - X
GoodReader (Browsing) - X

All are using the same route to the internet, wireless to a Cisco Q1000 modem, to Qwest using Qwest's DNS.
