How to change the language in Apple Store application?

The Apple Store app on my iPad speaks French to me. The rest of the system is in English, so the system settings are not a problem. I shall not change the region, as the country setting is correct (Apple has this long-standing solid view that your credit card cannot be used outside the country it was issued in). Can I make this app to work in English? How?

Thank you Phil!

If I change the region (e.g. to UK), I get the Apple Store in English, with the downside being I cannot buy anything there. This is for me still a better situation than the French setting, but here's a question: will this affect anything that I am not aware of? Shall I just leave the Apple Store alone?

Why can't you buy anything from their U.K store? If you are able to change it, then you should be able to buy stuff from it assuming you have a verifiable U.K payment method.

Purchases are tied to the App Store you bought them from. They may not be available in another country's store, so may not be able to be updated after you change stores.

You should always stick to the store for the region you are in the most or the one you have a payment method for to avoid any issues.

Thank you for that information. Seldom use my first-edition iPad mini.

Was given to me ~ and I found an Apple user-guide download online.

..Heard those could have multi-user accounts* set-up in Schools..

[This is my only iPad, had no trouble setting up, & is pre-owned.]

After iPadOS some features changed, for temporary limited sessions.

Newer article(s) suggest a more standardized multiple user set may

be offered for iPadOS. Apple says, a shared iPad situation can exist

that would enable this, not ready for prime-time; a few years ago.)

A 'Cisco' iOS has been able to use multiple users with passwords.

While this apparently does not work with other brand iOS devices.
