Word “baby” is highlighted blue

Do you have a contact on your phone with the name 'Baby'?

Messages will highlight names in messages that match people in the conversation, but that's the only thing off-hand I can think of that would have this kind of effect.

Yes!! That’s exactly what it is! I just grabbed my daughter’s phone and started typing her three words that are often blue, and sure enough, one of the suggested words that pop up is from the name she has for me in her contacts, “The Best And Fun Mama Ever”. So if she doesn’t tap the suggested word it is normal text.

Me too! There have been a few words in blue in texts my daughter sends - “Mama”, “best”, & “and”. But it’s not every time she writes the words.
