Zoom out/window re-sizing in QuickTime Player no longer working?

I use quicktime player to view videos and sometimes like to "zoom out" on it to make the overall QT screen smaller, so that it's not taking up nearly every available inch on my monitor screen.

But now it seems that function -- as well as "Zoom In" and all of the re-sizing commands -- are grayed out.

Anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it? I'm updated to the most recent OS 13.0.1 (22A400).

Thanks in advance.

Hello DVDon3,

What we'd like to do is test this behavior in an alternate user. Follow the steps outlined at Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support to set up a new Administrator user. Once that's done, log out of your normal user account and into the new. Test the QuickTime behavior there and let us know if it persists. This'll let us narrow down where the problem lies and see if this is specific to your user and files or across the whole system.

Thanks!
