Magsafe grips for iPhone 14

I bought an iPhone 14+ recently and ordered a case and a magnetic grip. The case does not say that it's magsafe. The magnetic grip I ordered has a matching ring with adhesive on one side and strong magnet on the other side, allowing the grip to attach or detach as needed. Is this safe to use on my phone or do I need a special magsafe case?

Thanks for posting those links. That was very helpful.

The Grip is a MagSafe compatible grip. It will adhere to the magnets of the iPhone or to the magnets of a MagSafe compatible case.

The Case that you posted is not MagSafe compatible. This means that there are no magnets attached to the back of that case. The Grip would then have to use the magnets on the back of the iPhone to adhere, however, the case will get in between and the connection will not be strong and therefore not useable for the grip.

I recommend that you look into purchasing a MagSafe compatible case so that the grip can attach with full strength. You can look into cases such as this one 👉 Example, iPhone 14 Plus MagSafe compatible case.

Thank you for the information, Alex. I realize now that the case I bought is not magsafe. The ring grip I bought to use with it came with several parts and no directions, so I was confused about how it worked. I figured out that the adhesive/magnetic ring is meant to be attached to the outside of the case to make it magsafe. It seems strong enough and the adhesive has stuck well so far. However, next time I will know to order a magsafe case and simplify my life.
