Sleep tracking on Health

When going through my sleep data in each of the last six month, my avg. time asleep doesn’t go past 7hrs. Yet, when I switch to the last 6 months view my avg. sleep time is over 9 hours, which makes no sense. When I go to “Show More Sleep Data” and choose “amounts” instead of “stages” my avg. time asleep changes to around 6 hours, which makes much more sense. Is there a way to fix that?

Apple Watch can estimate the time you spent in each sleep stage—REM, Core, and Deep—as well as when you might have woken up. This could be contributing to the issue. Review the following article for more info on using this feature:
