I’ve just set up my new iPhone 14 and updated it to the latest software but I noticed there’s no sound when I get an email. I have turned on all the sound notifications and still no sound. I get a sound when I receive a text and everything else. This is a problem for me.
Any ideas on what I can do?

It sounds like you have set the iPhone up, updated to iOS 16.1.1 (is that what you mean by latest?) and enabled Notifications. You are hearing a sound for texts (is this the Messages app?) but not email (is this the native Mail app?)

The first thing we would suggest is to quit the Mail app, and turn off all notifications on your iPhone. Then force restart the iPhone and turn the notifications on again. This initial troubleshooting step will refresh the iOS and the Mail app as well as your connection to your Wi-Fi or cellular network.

After making these changes and restarting the iPhone, send yourself an email to test.
