Do not disturb not showing to others that I am on it?

Would anyone know why other people cannot see that I am on do not disturb? I have it on DND but others do not see it. I have tried everything.

Hi Artsoto,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with with notifications going to friends and family alerting them that you have notifications silenced. We'd like to help.

Which Focus are you setting? Which app are you looking for the status to be shared? Does this affect all contacts or just a specific one? These answers can help isolate the issue and allow us to give specific recommendations.

Let's have you make sure that Focus is set correctly and then let us know how that goes: Use Focus on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Share your Focus status

When you set up a Focus, turn on Share Focus Status so that apps display that you have notifications silenced when people message you. Since apps only know that you have notifications silenced but not which Focus you have turned on, the name is never shared. Focus status is shared in apps when you have a Focus turned on and after you give an app permission.

To turn Focus status on
1. Go to Settings > Focus.
2. Tap Focus Status.
3. Turn on Share Focus Status.
4. Select which Focus options can share that you have notifications silenced.

Cheers!
