Got some new AirPods and the bass sounds terrible, the firmware is old 3a283, second attempt to get them to update, 3 hours later, still no update. Any advice?
That does not help. I have firmware version 4E71 on my 2nd gen AirPods (non pro). It does not update to 5B58 regardless of what I do. It's connected to iPhone SE (connected to home WiFi) and the charger is plugged in. Both charger and AirPods are at 100% charged. Left them next to each other for 15 minutes. Came back to check and firmware is still 4E71.
Update
Auto update does work but extremely slow to update. Mine now runs 5B58.
