Why can’t my Mac (2015 Yosemite) Do anything?
Last night I shut it and tried to get back onto it this morning and now none of my applications are opening, I can open safari but can’t search anything, and any time I click on one of the buttons on the top of the screen like about this mac nothing pops up
Only way I can shut it down is with force quit

You may want to test and see if you're able to start the Mac in safe mode, and from there see if it is then responsive.
