Apple Mail not prompting folder name to save emails: an update
Apple muted my prior discussion here Update on Apple Mail issue - Apple Community so I'm having to start a new one. My MacBook Pro Apple Mail continues to behavior weirdly. To recap: About a year ago it stopped "remembering" a folder to display in the "Move to" drop menu when I want to save an email/move from Inbox. I use this a lot, so not having it work is a pain. The update is that: It continues to work fine on my iPhone for the Gmail account and two work-related email accounts. And it works fine in Mac Book Pro Apple Mail for the two work accounts, but not Gmail, where I get most of my mail. I've not heard back from Apple in a while, so I gather they've shelved this support request. Recent upgrade to Ventura didn't help. As noted in the old thread, I've done re-installs and combed through preferences, but can't figure out what's now wrong with Gmail, when it worked fine for years. If anyone has encountered this and found a solution, please post!! Thanks.
