On the Mac it is possible to have multiple Photos libraries. Is this possible on an iPad? I would really like to do that.
An ancillary question, is it possible to move a Photos library from a Mac to an iPad?

You can use iCloud Photos to sync the same photos to your iPad and Mac, along with other options listed here: Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or PC
If you're looking to do something completely different than what is listed in the link above, we'd also recommend submitting feedback for consideration using the link provided earlier.

The ONLY way I know how to do that is to plug the iPad into a Mac, wait for thr Photos app to launch and just import your whole iPad Photo library to the Photos app/Library on your Mac.
This will, of course, just add to whatever Photo library your Mac is currently linked to.
Thank you Bruno. I’ll have to see if this is practical for very large libraries. Which is partly why I raised the question about the possibility of splitting libraries into smaller, more manageable components.
