iPhone 11 Fails (Error 3004) Update to iOS 16.1.1 though iTunes (AMAuthInstallBasebandApplyTssOverrides: failed to create CFDictionary from Options.plist )

I've got an iPhone 11 that fails to update on 16.1.1 though iTunes. The iPhoneupdater Log says that the ipsw file is corrupted.

To make sure, that the ipsw image is not corrupted I deleted it from the iTunes Folder under %AppData%\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates\*iPhone12,1_16.1.1_20B101_Restore.ipsw*

Redownloaded it though WWAN, WLAN and one more time though LAN. All three times it stops at the unpacking and loading the new firmware upon the device with error 3004.

The Mobile Connection is working on that phone, so i don't think the phone has an issue here. I've found 2 other older Posts, that never got resolved.

-> The logs here mention the same issue:

I'm welcome for any troubleshooting/debbugging tipps.

Hello Boka_Boberg,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like you have tried some great troubleshooting steps already.

The only other recommendation we would suggest would be to ensure iTunes is completely up to date. You can find the most up to date version of iTunes for your computer here: Apple - Support - Downloads

If this still happens after updating iTunes, the next step will be to reach out to Apple Support. They will be able to provide the best support for the behavior you’re seeing. You can reach them here: Contact - Official Apple Support

Kindest regards.

*Update*

I've installed the latest available version of iTunes for lokale install (install.exe). My first post was done with the MS Store App, which also had the latest Version 121261 published (before install of the local iTunes the Store App was uninstalled and the device rebooted)

With the local iTunes I've redownloaded the iOS_16.1.1 Image. During unpacking of the Update it still fails with Error 3004, just like the MS Store App. The Logs show the same behaviour - it fails again at the tss requests.

The issue can be recreated with another Hostdevice and three different iPhones 11 always failing at the position during update.

I've talked to my network admin and he checked on the company network the proxy and firewall settings. According to him he can see the outgoing http requests from my IP and they were not blocked by any of his settings/policies.

As Shannon_DN described i will escalate a ticket with the official Apple Support and see if the engineers there can find the issue.

I will update this thread, once a solution is known.
