Accidentally opened email attachment scam

Hello,

I accidentally opened an email attachment which obviously was a PayPal scam (it opened as preview and did not download on my computer). Is my computer at risk?

Accidentally opened email attachment Hello, Last night I was checking an older email I have that I don’t really use anymore.. there was a handful of spam emails, I deleted them all but accidentally opened an attachment in one. I was using outlook on a safari web browser. Not the mail app. The attachment opened in a preview in the web browser but didn’t open or download on the actual computer itself. I immediately disconnected from WiFi, cleared my cache, rebooted my computer and then scanned for malware and it came back clean. I have a brand new MacBook Air. I’m so paranoid I have a virus or malware on there now. I run a small business and am worried for the security of my business info and all my Apple ID info as well as my cell phone security. What is the likelihood that that attachment did something to compromise my computer? Should I bring the computer to the Apple store? I’m very worried.

I opened an attachment on a scam email I opened an attachment on my MacBook Pro from a scam amazon email. How can I check for Malware? What do I need to do to make sure my computer is safe? Thanks

Clicked on a link in docusign phishing Hello! My husband received an email supposedly from Docusign about his PayPal account being suspended for a possibly fraudulent transaction. He clicked the the “view document” link and was redirected to a page that said “Error : the page you are trying to access has encountered an error. Please try again. For assistance, contact Customer Support.” He did not click on any other links. This happened on our desktop Mac. He did not enter any sensitive information but is it possible that malware was installed? How do I check?
