Screen Refresh Rate is slow on apple XDR Display(P3-1600 nits) preset.

I have Macbook Pro 16" and noticed that even though the refresh rate is set to 120 Hz, it is slower. I tested with a website [1], and when I tried to switch between two desktops it showed 70 Hz, which was surprising. Tried to update the version and change the preset to 60 Hz and back, did not work.

Hi there Dave_2001,

We'd like to learn more to see how we can help. Have you tried using a different reference more to see if that makes a different in the refresh rate on our Apple Pro Display XDR? Learn more about how that works here: Use reference modes with your Apple display - Apple Support

Also, have you tried selecting ProMotion to see if that helps?

On 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with Apple silicon, you can select ProMotion for an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz.

Have a look at this link for more information: Change the refresh rate on your MacBook Pro or Apple Pro Display XDR - Apple Support

Take care!
