Hi. Today I just opened by Macbook Air and there is around a 1.5 inch black bar on the right side of the screen, from the top to the bottom. I tried resetting the SMC but that didn't work. I also tried resetting the NVRAM but that didn't work either. I think this is probably a Hardware Issue.

I think it's a hardware issue as well. You'd better take your MacBook Air to your local retail AppleStore, Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined your MacBook Air there. Before take it to them, you should take back up the data.
