Bluetooth connectivity problems (AirPods pro etc)

Hi,

the last year or so I’ve had Bluetooth connectivity problems with my iPhone 11 Pro (always with the last iOS updates). I’ve been using Sony WF- and WH-10000XM earbuds and headphones.

The problem is that my iPhone sometimes haven’t been able to connect with them when I take them out of the charging case (like it should, just connect automatically). The fix has been to turn off and on Bluetooth in the iPhone settings. But most of the times that this happens my settings app simply hangs up, and I need to force-close the settings app and then open it up again, to get into the Bluetooth settings of the iPhone.

Obviously I got tired of this, so I thought that with the new AirPods Pro (2nd gen), I shouldn’t have this problem right? So I invested in AirPods now, but the problem still exists. Even my AirPods sometimes doesn’t connect automatically to my iPhone, so I need to go into the settings app and Bluetooth settings to restart everything (and most of the times the settings app hangs up when going in there the first time when I notice that this happens). And when I get into the Bluetooth settings, I just see this connecting wheel spinning on the AirPods, like it’s trying to connect.

Obvisously now, I got even more tired of it. So at first I reset my networks settings as I thought that could work. It didn’t. So my last option has been to do a factory reset of the Iphone. Unfortunately that didn’t work either.

I’m always up to date on the latest firmware and iOS updates, so this definitely seems like another problem. My phone is 3 years old now, so I’m out of warranty.

Any suggestions how to fix this Bluetooth connectivity problem?

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 16
