Actually the solution was that Y had surpassed my mail storage allotment for my free version of Google Mail.

I dumped deleted lots of saved pictures videos and video links.

So please add this solution option to your list of responses: “Check Mail Storage Capacity You May Have Surpassed your Alotment”

Hey forenz,

It sounds like you're having an issue with your Gmail account.

First, we'd recommend reviewing the information in the following articles, as they provide steps to take to help resolve issues receiving emails on your devices:

Mac- If you can’t receive emails in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

  1. "Check whether Mail is retrieving a large message or a message with large attachments. See View Mail activity.
  2. Check if you’re using filters in the message list that are preventing expected messages from being shown.
  3. Try sorting messages in the message list by Date or another attribute, or searching for messages, to verify if you received them.
  4. Check whether your account is offline or disabled (inactive).
  5. If you’re missing emails from a specific person or group, check whether you blocked messages from them.
  6. Try quitting Mail, then opening it again.
  7. Choose Window > Connection Doctor, then follow any instructions in the Details column. Check for problems logging in to email accounts or with the incoming Mail server, or with firewall software blocking network traffic.
  8. Check whether you’re affected by another firewall, such as software installed separately from macOS or built into an internet sharing router, or administered by your email account provider. Contact the appropriate person for information.
  9. If you’re still having problems, contact your email account provider to verify your user name, password, incoming mail server, and other required information. Then verify the information is entered correctly in Mail account settings."

iPhone: If you can't receive email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

"Remove your email account and set it up again

  1. On your computer, sign in to your email provider’s website. Make sure that all of your email is there or make sure that your email is saved somewhere other than your device.
  2. On your device, go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts.
  3. Tap the email account that you want to remove.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Add your account again.

If these steps don't work, contact your email service provider for more information."

If those steps don't help, as the issue is happening with Gmail on multiple devices, it's possible the problem is with your Gmail account rather than your devices. If that's the case, we'd recommend checking with Google support for further assistance. You can find their support page here: Gmail Help

Thanks!
