How to turn off the earpiece speaker on iPhone 12?

All the sounds on my phone come out of the bottom speakers and the earpiece speaker. I want to turn off the earpiece speaker because the sound is scratchy from it.

Is there a solution to this?

I think it started after I used the water eject shortcut. I was just testing it
