My iPhone keeps trying to connect to the audio for my Mac (to be it's audio source) and I want to turn that off -- what can I do? This only started happening since the new update.

Since the new update my iPhone keeps trying to connect to my Mac as it's audio source... Can't figure out how to turn it off. Anyone know how?

I found the answer in another similar thread - you just do this:

Remove the Continuity Camera feature: on iPhone to go General > AirPlay & Handoff > deselect Continuity Camera

The same thing happened to me when I bought the new iPhone 14 pro on iOS 16.3.1. Beyond, Beyond! I tried all of the above, and it worked for about a month until it didn't work...I started receiving these notifications again, during do not disturb mode, randomly in the middle of the night, on and on. Thank you @numberXIII - I tried the path you described | "System Settings->Sound->Output & Input. Select Input, and your iPhone should show up as an input source. Select your iPhone and the Connect screen will pop up on your phone and stay, allowing you to hit the Disconnect button." It happened, it worked....so far....

Thank you so much! I just got kicked out of an important Zoom call just now when I was fiddling with settings trying to hear the audio - even though my bluetooth speaker was displaying in Zoom as selected and connected via Bluetooth in settings, my phone decided I wanted to listen to the audio on my laptop, which was asleep... Also I've been noticing my phone making a dinging noise whenever I approach my laptop which has been annoying the **** out of me because I can never read the message it displays before it disappears. Absolutely hate this feature. Your tip fixed it!
