Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 for mac is unusable

I get interminable beachball hangs when using this on my Mac Pro 5,1 running Mojave. This is the only software that I have that behaves like this. I have to force quit repeatedly, but the problem is intermittent. I have not been able to find any other reports of this, but it has made this application virtually unusable. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Mac Pro, macOS 10.14

Wondering which MacBook Pro model (year) you are using:

Seems Acrobat Pro may require more memory / storage than your Mac has available for use.

Eg Mac OS needs at least 50Gb free in order to operate smoothly.
