Apple TV app restrictions playing to a TV

I want to watch House of Dragon series on my smart tv. Subscribed to AppleTV and bought the series. It plays on my iphone via AppleTV app but refuses to stream or mirror to the proper tv? The app on the tv itself doesn’t have a section for bought content. Other content on the phone mirror across via an hdmi adapter fine but not the only one I want to watch??? Losing the will with it all. Any ideas?
