Combine print jobs to a queue?

Let's say I have 10 documents to print, and each is one page. I'd like to print double-sided, so they take only five sheets of paper.

To do this, I have to print each one separately as a .pdf, and then in Preview combine the 10 .pdfs into one, and then print that one.

What would be more efficient would be to print each one to a "queue", so that all ten documents are treated as one, and then print that one 1-page doc double-sided.

When I used to be in Windows, there was a program called PaperPort that did this. Its driver sat in Printer settings as if it were a physical printer, and you'd "print" each document to that driver. Then, when all were in the queue, you'd just print that one queue and all the docs would come out, duplex.

Is there any way to do this on a Mac?
