Mismatched AirPods

AirPod Pro says that the AirPods are mismatched but this is not possible. I am the only owner of AirPod Pros in the family and I have not loaned them to anyone. Any ideas?

Hi Tfloydismynickname,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you're seeing an alert that your AirPods don't match.

You can use the Find My app to help you to identify which AirPod doesn't match and if you're unable to locate it, you can replace the AirPod as outlined here: If you see an alert that says "AirPods Mismatch" - Apple Support

If you see an alert that says "AirPods Mismatch," then you might have mixed up your AirPods with someone else's AirPods. You can try to get your AirPod back from the person who might have it. Or you can contact Apple Support to replace your AirPod.

Try to get your AirPod back
If your AirPods are mixed up with someone else's AirPods, you'll both get an alert that says "AirPods Mismatch." Use the Find My app to locate your missing AirPods and play a sound to help you identify which AirPod is mismatched.

Replace your missing AirPod
If you can't find your AirPod, you can get a replacement AirPod from Apple Support. Just find the serial number of your AirPods, then contact Apple Support.
Learn more about AirPods pricing and service options.

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
