iPhone X screen issues + weird heat

So, yesterday I woke up and my iPhone X's screen went haywire. Ghost touches everywhere, not responding to most touches on the left side, it was unusable. I turned it off and left it off until nighttime hoping it would get better, and it didn't.

I updated (from 16.0.3 (?) to 16.1.1) and it kinda helped, although I'm not 100% sure, it might have to do with it being turned off for a couple more hours. The screen is completely responsive and not ghost touching anymore, although it still has some weird moments especially when swiping up or down.

That being said, ever since it started working better (or at least I only noticed it now), I feel it getting quite warm underneath the camera, mostly. All apps are turned off, and I've connected it to my computer to back up (in case it fries) but it was getting warm even when not connected either ways.

What could this be? I've removed my case, protective screen, and it still had the touch issue, which went away, somehow. I've checked the water damage indicator inside the SIM card slot and the ribbon's white, so that's not it. Has anyone had similar problems? Thank you!
