Verification sent to broken phone I can’t access.

My daughter dropped her iPhone 11. Screen is cracked and she can’t put in her PIN code to unlock the phone. I got her a a replacement phone today but the new iPhone is asking for a verification code which is going to her old phone that we can’t unlock. This is frustrating. How can you get a code from a device that doesn’t work. I hit the didn’t get a code and the text and number is greyed out so I can’t text the code to my phone or iMac. Any help with this would be great.
