Apps using icloud

Third party apps are using icloud. What does mean. can they able to access my icloud and access my other files too? Can i keep it on for third party apps. Is it safe?

It’s not an app I have on home screen or in app library. I recently noticed it in my iPhone storage settings and, what I found most troubling is the mention of “documents and data shared and used by multiple apps”, along with apps listed that contain sensitive data (Photos, Files, Messages….). this makes little sense to me given all my sharing settings are disabled, toggled off &/or restricted. no shared albums, folders, nothing. I don’t sync half the apps listed with iCloud either. it also seems as though I’m prohibited from deleting, offloading, or at the very least altering “Apple Inc.” settings. is this normal?????

Yes it is safe. I use iCloud for a number of third party apps. Using iCloud will keep your app data and files up to date and accessible on all of your devices that use iCloud.
