Apple Watch Reset Sync not working
How do I get my watch to sync with my phone without having to wipe it and go through the setup process again? I’m on iOS 16.1.1 and watchOS 9.1

Hi smstewart37068,
Please keep in mind that wiping your Apple Watch might not be unavoidable.
With that being said, from what you described in your original post, we recommend the steps here: If your Apple Watch isn't connected or paired with your iPhone - Apple Support
1) Keep your Apple Watch and paired iPhone close together to make sure that they're in range.
2) On your iPhone, make sure that Airplane Mode is off and that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on. To check, open Control Center.
3) If you see the Airplane Mode icon on your watch face, Airplane Mode is on. Open Control Center, then turn off Airplane Mode.
4) Restart your Apple Watch and iPhone.
The reason why we are recommending the steps above is because they will show you what to do if your Apple Watch isn't connected or paired with your iPhone.
If you’re still experiencing the same issue, then give the steps here a try: If you can't pair an Apple Watch with your iPhone - Apple Support
Reach out to the community for more help if your issue still needs to be resolved, and we will continue from there.

Cheers!

Rebooting both devices worked.
