Storage Full Message - Apple Watch

How do I remove unwanted data from my Apple Watch? All the information on Apple’s FAQ is specific to unpairing the watch to pair a new watch, which is not what I want to do. I just need to free up space. Oddly, most of the unwanted data is coded as “Other”. Please HELP!!! These alerts are really annoying!!! I believe the last update created this issue.

Hello CP-92,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities.

We understand you're looking to clear up some storage on your Apple Watch, correct?

If we understood you correctly, let's see if the information below helps to clear that up for you. You can also locate additional helpful steps in this resource: If you don’t have enough space to update your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Remove media and apps

First, try to free up storage on your Apple Watch by removing any music or photos that you've synced to your watch. Then try to install the watchOS update.

If your watch still doesn't have enough available storage, remove some apps to free up more space, then try to update. You can check how much available storage your watch has by opening its Settings app, then going to General > Usage.

If you can't update after deleting media and apps, follow the steps in the next section.

If that isn't helpful, let us know which steps you attempted from the resource as this may help to isolate what's occurring. Include any changes that you notice with the steps attempted as well.

Take care!
