GarageBand input too small

I am recording vocals in GarageBand through Neumann TLM 102 plugged into audio interface Audient iD22. My audio interface gain is set to a recommended level, which is my singing signal peaking at about -10dB in the iD mixer app on my MacBook. Therefore, I am pretty confident this part is working correctly. Audient also send me some tests to check if preamps in the audio interface are working correctly, and they indeed are. However, when I record it in GarageBand the signal line is completely flat even though the noise monitor is halfway green for that track for the same volume of singing. I am singing about 15 cm from the microphone, and I have to get very close and shout into it to get any tiny sound wave on the signal line. I think GarageBand adjusts the level when replaying it to me so I can hear the recording properly, but it sounds very distant and bad. Could anyone help me with this issue please, I have been trying to resolve it for a while now?
