Looking for some help regarding the nvram settings  sudo nvram

boot-args="ncl=131072"  unable to set permission denied /

operation not permitted for the Peak data rates of around 10Gigs for TCP tuning that could help us



Any leads much appreciated! been struggling for 2 months

I would be extremely careful using "nvram" utility on Apple Silicon Macs. I have seen a couple people post that it caused problems with their M1 Macs with one possibly being bricked. One of the users reporting an issue with their M1 Mac and the "nvram" utility seemed very knowledgeable and detail oriented. I don't recall specific details as the information was posted in 2020 shortly after the first M1 Macs were released. Unfortunately Apple is not great with documentation for these fringe utilities.


Keep in mind nvram settings details are fairly sparse even for Intel Macs.
