Photo’s app crashing

Lately I’ve had multiple issues regarding the photos app. This used to happen whenever my phone ran out of battery but recently it’s been happening at random, what happens is that it won’t let me upload any sort of pictures in any apps, whenever I try to upload a picture in some app the screen turns black and the app crashes. What also happens is that if I take a screenshot it won’t appear in the photos app, if I try to go to settings and click on the photos app settings freezes and crashes as well as if I try to type in the searchbar in the photos app it also makes the app crash. As I said previously it happened whenever my phone ran out of battery but it is now happening at random occasions. Whenever this issue happens I find the easiest fix to reset my settings however this is only temporary as the issue pops up again as I said previously and it’s a painful process to customize my settings again, another solution I had found was to install any iPhone software update available but this uncovered another issue which has to do with installing a software update where the update would progress normally until the bar that shows the progress of the update would stop just before the end and the iPhone would stay frozen, this has already happened twice while the photos issue has happened multiple times. What I believe caused this issue was when I installed iOS 16 as before none of these issues where present and during the installation, what happened is that the progress bar got to the end but it stayed before the end for almost 2 days which forced me to reboot my phone and then these problems started to appear.
