AirPods Pro causing earache / ear pain
I have been using in-ear tips with many different brands and my last 2 pairs were used around 2 years without any issue. I have also used regular apple headphones with cables for years with no issue.
I have received my 2. gen new AirPods pros 3 weeks ago and didn’t get a change to use it at first 2 weeks due to long hours of work and school and moving out etc. I was pretty busy running around so I have started using them last week during my bus/train trips which are 30-40 minutes and was not able to keep them in more than 10-15 min due to increased pressure and ear pain.
I would put them on for 10-20 min then will be packing them away to my bag due to discomfort and would be using my old earphones for the rest of the trip. I was thinking I will change their tips to smaller ones once I am back home and it should be okay but it did not change the situation, pain and discomfort still continued.
I stopped using noise cancellation cause that was giving me so much air pressure and it was hurting like I am in an airplane trying to land forever.
I kept trying them 2-3 times during the week but it is always the same.
I am using transparency or off mode but still I am with a lot of ear pain after 15 minutes due to their physical fit I assume. It pushes my cartilage somehow. When I I take them off, soreness stays for an hour or so.
If I don’t wear them at all, or use my regular earphones during the day, I have no pain at all.
As soon as I put them, I have an earache which started causing headaches lately so I stopped using it and will go to store to return them.
It has been about 20 days since I received them and probably less than 10 days since on and off trying to use them ( I didn’t charge them they are full on :) so if anyone had similar issues or found a cure please comment :)
