I forgot my notes lock password

We tried to reset it but it won’t change and say I have to sign in with my iCloud notes password. how do I access my locked notes?

iPhone 12, iOS 16

Without remembering or correctly guessing it, you can't. Resetting the password only affects future notes, not already-locked ones.
