Does the Pro 2nd generation offer sufficient noise reduction for a gun range?

AirPod Pro 2 Noise Cancellation Inferior to Pro 1 I just upgraded to the AirPod Pro 2 because they are supposed to have superior noise cancellation than the AirPod Pro 1. However, I hear much more street noise, wind, and conversations with v2 than with my v1. I tried all 4 earbud sizes - the medium pass the fit test but the lack luster noise cancellation persists. And yes, I do have noise cancellation enabled in settings. Toggling noise cancellation on only causes a very minor decrease in background noises. So it is doing something, but no where near the amount of noise cancellation that my AirPod Pro 1 provide. Has anyone else experienced this?

AirPod Pro 2 NRR? In the Far Out Event (timestamp 44 minutes) they talk about the AirPods Pro 2 and the Adaptive Transparency sampling the external environment 48,000 per second to help reduce any harsh noise you are exposed to like Construction Equipment. Ok, that's all fine and good. I wear mine first gen AirPod Pro's while doing yard work. But, will the new AirPod Pro 2 work effectively at an indoor gun range and if so, what is the NRR for the AirPod Pro 2? Anything better than 22 is acceptable, although anything over 30 is preferred.
