Hotspot and iPhone

How do I get Roku tv to recognize my iPhone? 2nd? Is the ssid number for Wi-Fi the same used for hotspot?

If you want to have your Roku use the iPhone hotspot, then set the Roku network settings to connect to the SSID that represents your iPhone. The SSID network name for an iPhone hotspot is the iPhone device name.

Note that not all mobile providers support hotspot use. There may be restrictions, and hotspot use will be metered, and possibly billed separately (above a threshold). See their terms and conditions. Don’t assume that plans named “Unlimited” really have no limits.
