iPhone 4 lineout low volume level

Hi!
i switched from iPhone 3G to iPhone 4,
i use it in my car using lineout cable.
i checked: volume level from iPhone 4 is much lower, than iPhone 3G.
i use max level on iPhone 4, max level in my car system, but still don't have loud sound.
i don't have any limitation in settings, i checked that together with my old phone.
Any suggestions?

same here! i was using the iphone earlier i got android but then again switched back to iphone jus coz the android samsung i was using has less aux output..this is really dissapointing coz now my current iphone4s has even lesser output levels than the samsung android i was using...

Apple really needs to fix this in the next update or something..

Phantasize suggestion worked for me. My iphone 4s while hooked up to home audio system through dock connector had significantly lower volume than other sources in my system. Turned off the EQ as suggested and I turned off the sound equalization as well in settings/Music under iOS 6 - now playing at full volume and the same as all other sources in my system. It also seemed to improve other sound characteristics and provide a clearer less muddy audio.
