As you mentioned your iPhone 14 Pro Max being new, we’d like to make sure you’ve installed all the incremental iOS 16 updates with the latest being iOS 16.1.1. We’re beginning here because in iOS 16.0.3 and iOS 16.1 some CarPlay fixes were introduced.
